What Makes Me Human?
Human Beings have many distinct physical and mental characteristics that set them apart from everything else. Some of the physical features that make me appear human include my skin, hair, fingers, toes, eyes, and mouth. My skin is smooth, with areas that lack hair, and areas that have hair. Humans are not as hairy as apes of other animals, but are not completely hairless either, we stand at a middle ground. Our physical statue allows most of us to walk on our feet, without any use of our hands, which is a decently human way to move. When I converse with other humans; we use expansive vocabularies to communicate, which other animals on earth are not capable of doing. We talk about ideas, rationalize thoughts, and consult one another about problems. Another distinctly human quality is our emotions. We have some completely non-rational emotions, such as jealousy, self-consciousness, and cravings for things that are bad for our health.
